What is linguistic purism in English? It’s ANGLISH!!
Let’s face it, the English language is a tainted mess of Latin, Greek, French, and who knows what. It’s a bastardized cacophony of Inkhorn.
Inkhorn: A loanword or a made-up word from established etymologies is said to be inkhorn if it is considered to be pompous or superfluous.
I know you sit up late at night asking yourself: What would English be like if we didn’t have all of this excessive NON-ENGLISH Etymology you ask?

Here is the preamble to the United States Constitution written in both contemporary English and Anglish, using the example that YouTuber Rob Words provided.
English: “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
Anglish: “We the Folk of the Foroned Riches, to make a more flawless oneship, build rightness, bring frith and stillness to our land, shield one another, uphold the overall welfare, and hold fast the Blessings of Freedom to ourselves and our offspring, do foresay and lay down this lawbook for the foroned riches of Americksland.”
Who Came up with this Absurd, yet awesome Idea?
“Anglish” it was first coined by the great Mullah of the Machine Paul Jennings back in 1966. It burst through him with all the glory of a desire to remove foreign influences from the English language. Purify English so that it sounds more…..English.
BREAD with me here, this desire to speak “Pure English” has been around for centuries. It all started with the blasted Norman invasion of England in 1066. The Normans brought with them a majority of foreign vocabulary, which greatly influenced the English language. English had no choice, they had to speak it.

“I am of this opinion that our own tung should be written cleane and pure, unmixt and unmangeled with borowing of other tunges; wherein if we take not heed by tiim, ever borowing and never paying, she shall be fain to keep her house as bankrupt.”
So Why Anglish Exactly?
So basically the goal of this “experimental” English language known as Anglish is to replace all non-Germanic words with those from Old English or other Germanic languages. In an effort to establish a form of English that is closer to its Germanic roots, Anglish has been developed. Advocates of Anglish claim that it can expand the English vocabulary and make it more accessible to speakers of other Germanic languages. In spite of this, many linguists are suspicious of its merits, and the language is not commonly accepted or utilized in ordinary communication.
Purity of Sanctimony or Whatever
Anglish, with its focus on using words of Germanic origin, is a linguistic reflection of our cultural identity as English speakers. It harkens back to a time before the influence of French and Latin, to a time when our language was simpler and more direct. By embracing Anglish, we are reclaiming a piece of our cultural heritage and honoring the roots of our language. It allows us to connect more deeply with our ancestors and to express ourselves in a way that is uniquely English. In a world where cultures are increasingly blending together, Anglish helps us to maintain our distinct identity and preserve a piece of our history.
Should Paul Jennings be made a Mullah of the Machine?
Well, I have to say that Anglish has become a phenomenon in the Ordo Machinae. It’s import and influence on the Proletariat Cultural identity which we are building is whelling up. I would say that it is fully in order to consecrate Dr.Jennings into the “halls of maddness.”
